Join KHS for Kitsap’s favorite family-friendly day of fun—PetsWALK, happening Saturday, June 7—to benefit Kitsap Humane Society. This pet-centered celebration features a 5K walk and run or a shorter one-mile route, both winding through beautiful downtown Poulsbo and culminating in a waterfront festival packed with activities for the whole family.
There will be games and contests for all ages, and you can dance the day away to live music. It’s the perfect way to celebrate animals and support the lifesaving work of KHS.
You’ll also get a chance to meet some of KHS's adorable adoptable animals. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about KHS programs—and maybe even meet your future furry best friend!

PetsWALK participants love to stroll with their Schnauzers, wander with their Weimaraners, and parade their pups of every shape and size. If you’re a dog lover, this is your kind of event!
Critter Contests Galore
Will there be a costume contest? Absolutely. A talent show? Of course! Pets in silly hats, skirts, and sunglasses? Yes, yes, and yes! And don’t forget the crowd-favorite “Wiggle-Butt” competition.
Booths, Booths, and More Booths
It’s not just about the pets—you’ll explore booths from a wide range of vendors, including local pet groomers, veterinary clinics, community service organizations, and artisan makers. From pet products and health resources to handmade goods like t-shirts, jewelry, soaps, and ceramics, there’s something for everyone. And when it’s time for a snack, check out the food trucks and treat yourself to some of Kitsap’s best eats—including ice cream, of course!
Music, Games, and Waterfront Fun
Start with DJ Big Dog and close out the day with live music from The Harmony Wombats at Liberty Bay Waterfront Park. Come ready for dancing, sing-alongs, giveaways, and—of course—more adoptable pets looking for forever homes.
